Introduction
A decade ago, when the BJP first assumed power in 2014, we warned about the anti-people policies they would eventually implement. Today, those fears have manifested into a grim reality. As the nation’s economy, manufacturing sector, and social fabric face systematic erosion, Tamil Nadu stands at a critical crossroads.
The upcoming 2026 assembly election is not merely about a change in governance; it is a battle to safeguard our culture, civilization, and very identity.
Anti-People Policies of BJP and Tamil Nadu’s Anxiety
As previously anticipated, the BJP’s trajectory has consistently favored corporate interests over the common citizen. From privatizing public sector undertakings to encroaching upon state rights, their policies have systematically marginalized Tamil Nadu. If the BJP and its allies, including the AIADMK, seize power, the devastation witnessed across India over the last ten years will consume Tamil Nadu as well. This is an attempt to dismantle the soul of our Tamil land.
The Truth Behind New Political Entrants
The new entrants like Vijay’s 'Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam', who build their narrative solely on anti-DMK rhetoric, are often perceived as tactical pawns deployed to splinter the secular vote. By challenging the Dravidian movement’s legacy and the foundations of social justice, such forces inadvertently serve as gateways for Sanatana ideologies to gain a foothold in Tamil Nadu. Their emergence is more a strategic maneuver than a genuine alternative.
Economic Neglect vs. Hollow Promises
In the current electoral discourse, vital discussions on Tamil Nadu’s core economy, small-scale industry growth, and manufacturing development are being sidelined. Instead, the focus has shifted to attractive freebies and populist announcements. While anyone can promise doles, the BJP alliance lacks a clear vision for protecting Tamil Nadu’s self-reliant economy and the livelihoods of its people.
Are We at Risk of Losing Our Identity?
A victory for the BJP alliance would mean the systematic erasure of our anti-Sanatana Dravidian heritage, our linguistic pride, and our history of social justice. In its place, a regressive "Sanatana history" and backward cultural norms would be imposed. What is the value of life if we lose our language, our ethnicity, and our cultural roots?
Our Moral Obligation
To protect our unique identity and social justice, we must:
- Decisively reject the Sanatana forces represented by the BJP.
- Defeat parties that align with them directly (AIADMK) or indirectly (TVK, NTK).
- Ensure a landslide victory for the DMK-led alliance, which has consistently championed the rights of Tamil Nadu.
Conclusion
This election is not a mere democratic ritual; it is a crusade to defend our civilization and history. To reclaim Tamil Nadu from alien forces intent on diluting our identity, let us cast our votes for the DMK-led alliance. Our identity is our strength.
True democratic duty lies not just in the act of voting, but in ensuring the victory of forces that protect the democratic and secular fabric of our soil.
